"The four actors give monumental performances, creating with terrifying veracity one emotional crescendo after another, and even managing to exude a lot of personal magnetism while tearing away at each other." BackStage

"..passionately acted ... tall, model thin blonde wife Monica [Holmqvist]... perfect English... "  Offoffoff Theater

"The four actors are excellent, each shifting smoothly from calm civility to uncontrolled emotion." CurtainUp

All Is As It Should Be
Theater

Directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde
Scandinavia House, New York
Scandinavian American Theater Company
Performed and Translated Play from Swedish

All Is As It Should Be is a Swedish play about being a woman today, the demands imposed on women and a society where a flawless appearance is of the utmost importance. The play is like a puzzle, a claustrophobic bubble, an ongoing state of mind. The search for a perfect appearance and a beautiful surface has become a modern-time disease, everybody has a market price based on their looks, body, career, home, car, husband and children. The most important thing is to be seen in the right context and to be someone in the eye of the beholder. Who are you when you are all on your own? The truth is never said in words, but lies in between the words.
